Spaghettoni are the ideal choice for those who are not satisfied, a long pasta shape whose characteristic is the larger diameter of the classic spaghetti (practically the same as bucatini but without the hole in the middle). Spaghettone is the perfect pasta shape for recipes that require a final step in the pan, because it absorbs and collects the sauces well. Spaghettoni with their thickness are a type of pasta to bite into.

These spaghettoni from Pastificio Gerardo di Nola are produced in Gragnano, thanks to the return to the town of this historic pasta factory from Campania: Gragnano is universally considered the world capital of pasta with many quality artisan pasta factories based in the city; this historical presence is given by the happy coexistence of environmental characteristics that have allowed the development of an artisan pasta industry rich in history: already in 1845 when Ferdinand II of Bourbon granted the privilege of becoming the suppliers of the kitchen of the court of the Kingdom of Naples ; the whole city became a natural open-air pasta dryer, which they found bamboo drying racks with hanging pasta and that the wind dried. In the last two centuries this tradition of Gragnano pasta has made itself known all over the world without losing its originality, which has been recognized with the granting of the IGP mark.
